Not every coin needs to be bought. Some coins should be earned.
Yieldpad launches a token with a claim attached. The market trades it normally, while a condition written in at launch decides when holders become entitled to claim something specific.
When
TSLA reaches or exceeds $100
Price threshold
Then
each eligible holder may claim 0.01 TSLA
Fixed units per holder · Balance snapshotted at the trigger block
A threshold on an equity price, settling into units of that equity. This specimen carries no price, no market and no reserve — it exists to show the shape of a clause.
What a clause is made of
A Yieldpad token carries exactly one clause. Half of it describes a condition in the world; the other half describes what that condition releases.
Condition
- Trigger type
- A price threshold, or a timestamp on the chain clock.
- Subject
- The asset a threshold is measured against, for price triggers.
- Direction
- Whether the level must be reached from below or from above.
- Attestation
- What is permitted to settle the condition onchain. Without one, a price trigger cannot be met.
Consequence
- Claim asset
- What an eligible holder becomes entitled to.
- Amount rule
- Fixed units per holder, fixed value per holder, or a reserve split pro rata.
- Eligibility
- Which balances count, and at which moment — the trigger block, or the claim itself.
- Window
- How long the claim stays open once it becomes available.
Launch, trade, trigger, claim
The clause is fixed at launch. Everything after that is the market on one side and the condition on the other, meeting once.
01
Launch
A token is deployed with one clause written into it.
02
Trade
It trades like any other token while the clause waits.
03
Trigger
The condition is met and attested in a block.
04
Claim
Eligible holders submit a transaction and receive the asset.
States a market can be in
Upcoming
The token trades. The condition has not been met.
Nothing about settlement.
Triggered
The condition has been met and attested onchain.
The block at which it settled.
Claimable
Eligible holders can submit a claim transaction.
Your entitlement, read from contract state.
Claimed
Your claim transaction has been confirmed.
A transaction hash. Never shown without one.
Closed
The claim window has expired, where one was set.
That the window has passed.
The third column is what the interface is permitted to state in each case.
What this interface will and will not say
A claim is only worth anything if the thing that reports it is strict. These are the rules the product holds itself to.
Stated only when
- A trigger as met — once an attestation for it exists onchain.
- Your entitlement — once it has been read from contract state for your address.
- A claim as complete — once its transaction is confirmed and has a hash.
- A price — only from the source the clause names as its attestation.
Never stated
- A countdown reaching zero, presented as settlement.
- A balance or eligibility that has not actually been read.
- A reserve inferred from the fact that a token exists.
- Placeholder markets standing in for markets that do not exist.
